The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High mirrors a duck in color and texture, creating a truly wild sneaker collaboration.

Nike SB Dunk collaborations are nothing short of crazy. Slam Jam, Civilist and Grateful Dead have each put an incredible spin on the classic skate sneaker—many of which have sold out and are in the running for sneaker of the year. In fact, Ambush’s Dunk hasn’t even dropped, and we can see it among some of the best collaborations of the year. Not to be left out, Concepts has put their twist on the Nike Dunk High and they are drawing inspiration from an unexpected thing—a duck. The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High “Mallard” lands on November 21.

Concepts’ Dunk gets dark brown furry suede overlays which get progressively lighter as it moves towards the forefoot. Sand-colored leather is applied to the toe box, which matches the feather-like material used on the midfoot panels. Yes, the midfoot is covered in a fabric that has tiny bits of plastic poking out—recreating the texture of duck feathers.

The Swoosh on Concepts’ Dunk comes in two pearlized colors: green on the medial side and blue on the lateral side. This matches up with the green tongue that sits under the light brown laces. Completing the Dunk is a yellow tongue tab, meant to represent the beak, and the orange midsole and outsole, which are inspired by a duck’s webbed feet.

The Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High will have you saying “what the duck” but it will probably live on as a grail for fans of the silhouette.

Check Out the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk High “By Any Means” Sample

In the history of Nike (NYSE:NKE -1.20%) Dunk collaborations, few outfits can compare themselves to Supreme‘s catalogue. Since its first set of elephant-printed takes on the SB Dunk Low released in 2002, Supreme has gone on to produce some of the most notable SB Dunk collaborations of all time — SB Dunk Highs in 2003, plus more SB Dunk Lows in 2012, 2019 and 2021, to be specific — and now the New York-based outfit is adding another chapter to their collaborative SB Dunk lexicon as images of a SB Dunk High “By Any Means” sample have been revealed.

Rife with signature Supreme and Swoosh iconography and boasting a crisp two-tone color scheme that combines black and white leather, the shoe offers an in-your-face branded look akin to the Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 High from 2014 and repurposing details from a 2008 New Era collaboration. The most notable branded embellishment is a special version of Supreme’s “By Any Means” hit on the heel that works in the “NY” from the John Jay-designed Nike NYC logo. Apart from this, there’s an altered version of Milton Glaser‘s “I ❤ New York” hit on the forefoot overlay that reads “No <3,” a varsity-style “Supreme Team” hit on the heel and a hybrid “Sup” graphic on the tongue that once again repurposes John Jay’s Nike NYC logo. A final detail is served by “World Famous” hits on the lace tips.

After images leaked, there was some debate over whether this style was indeed an SB Dunk or if it was Nike Sportswear‘s Dunk High. However, according to leaked.sneaks, the Instagram account that originally posted the photos, the style does feature SB insoles and has SB branding “somewhere else on the shoe.” Of note is that Supreme has only made one non-SB Dunk before, an unreleased style from 2017 that was reportedly a friends and family pair.

At the time of writing, no official release information has been made available. However, the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk High “By Any Means” may well drop later this year in multiple colorways — and possibly even be accompanied by a new New Era cap collaboration.

Nike SB Joins The Black And Yellow Fun With The Dunk High “Reverse Goldenrod”

Towards the latter half of 2020, Nike brought back the Dunk High “Goldenrod” in true-to-form fashion. And as we were calmly awaiting even more black and yellow colorways — i.e. the AJ4 “Lightning” and AJ1 “Pollen” — Nike SB comes and throws another into the mix: the Dunk High “Reverse Goldenrod.”

While it may borrow the same tones as its non-SB counterpart, the pair couldn’t be any further from identical. The material used along the upper, for example, is a rough suede, a texture far and away from the smooth leather used along the aforementioned. What’s more, aside from the alternative color blocking, the sole appears lower profile, a likely benefit to overall board feel. Finally, SB branding finishes the tongue as well as the Zoom Air packed insole.

For a closer, detailed look, peer below at the official images. These are expected to release in Asia on July 3rd and the US/EU shortly after.Nike SB Dunk High

Take an Official Look at the ‘Gundam’ x Nike SB Dunk High “Banshee”

Following the reveal of the Gundam x Nike (NYSE:NKE -1.20%) SB Dunk High “Project Unicorn White,” we now have an official look at the other special edition colorway inspired by the Unicorn Gundam from the popular anime franchise.

The “Project Unicorn” collection celebrates the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn series’ 15th-anniversary, and this all-new “Banshee” model, mimics the aesthetics of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee originally piloted by Marida Crus and later assigned to Riddhe Marcenas in the novel.

The collaborative sneakers are dressed in premium black leathers with obsidian overlays, metallic orange piping and rose gold eye stay highlights near the tongue tab. Unique design elements include an interchangeable velcro swoosh in a jagged effect referencing the horns found on the mobile suits, distinct perforations and accent lines on the toe box and collars mimicking exhaust vents and contours, and a red “RX 0 DUNK HIGH” insignia on the heel counter. Below, black midsoles with orange contrast stitching are elevated by black outsoles with a metallic orange panel on the mid-foot bottoms. A sheet of co-branded decals is included to complete the offering.

Look for the Gundam x Nike SB Dunk High “Banshee” to release on September 27 for $110 USD at select skate shops.

Take an Official Look At the Nike SB Dunk High “TV Signal”

While sneakerheads continue to search for answers regarding the release location, we now have an official look at the Nike (NYSE:NKE -1.20%) SB Dunk High “TV Signal.”

Centered around the colorful “no signal” display seen when a TV isn’t working properly, the upcoming release features a clean white leather base paired with panels of lenticular print expressing the green, blue, yellow, red and purple static pattern. Accenting the shoe are black suede overlays that introduce the contrast element continued on the laces, lining, insole, midfoot Swooshes and tongue tags. Elevating the SB Dunk High “TV Signal” is a pure white midsole and contrasting black rubber outsole.

Reportedly priced at $110 USD, the Nike SB Dunk High “TV Signal” is now rumored to release in the UK only at select skate shops May 15, with no plans to release stateside.

Magnus Walker And Ishod Wair Transform The Nike SB Dunk High Into The Porsche 911 T “277”

Nike SB further delves into the unexpected, teaming up with “Urban Outlaw” Magnus Walker on a very special, luxury sportscar inspired Dunk High.

Revealed via insiders earlier today, the pair adapts Walker’s Porsche 911 T “277” to an uncanny level of detail. The coloring of the body itself is mimicked quite well, with both the suede and canvas exteriors clad in a neutral white shade. Along the toe — similar to the hood of the car itself — a pop of red clashes with the aforementioned but complements the piping of the ankle flaps, the trim along the counter, and 3/4ths of the outsole.

Elsewhere, the paint job’s light blues influence the Swoosh, laces, and tongue label, while the titular “277” prints in bold atop the heel.

For a quick peek, check the leaked image below. At the time of writing this, a release date is unknown, but it’s possible we’ll see them on Nike SNKRS before the end of the year.

In other news, the Nike SB Dunk High What The P-Rod is releasing later this month.

New Images of the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk High “By Any Means” in “Black/White”

Supreme and Nike (NYSE:NKE -1.20%) ‘s SB Dunk High “By Any Means” is one of the fall’s most hotly-anticipated releases, and ahead of its arrival new images of its “Black/White” colorway have surfaced. Supreme’s second SB Dunk High collaboration with Nike SB after a now-iconic set of star-covered SB Dunk Highs in 2003, the “By Any Means” features classic two-tone colorblocking and plenty of special branded hits.

Though this high-cut Dunk is indeed an SB, its scheme errs towards the realm of Nike Sportswear. Black leather is used on the toeboxes, quarters and collars, while white leather appears on mudguards, eyestays, Swooshes, heels and collar flaps. Special branding begins on the lateral forefoot, with a “No <3″ graphic, a flip on Milton Glaser‘s famed “I ❤ New York” design. There’s also a hybrid “SUP” hit on the tongue that’s inspired by the Nike NYC logo.

Heels present the shoe’s boldest duo of embellishments, namely a clever “By Any Means” graphic that combines New York Magazine‘s flowing font with another altered take on the John Jay-designed Nike NYC graphic. “Supreme Team” is subtly embroidered in white behind the heel tab, and red insoles add a cut-off “Sup” graphic for a final dash of branded flair. White midsoles and black outsoles round off the look.

Though a release date for the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk High “By Any Means” in “Black/White” or its red and blue counterpart has yet to be officially announced, the presence of new images indicates that the style may be releasing in the coming weeks. If the collection follows the precedent set by past collaborations, it’ll release on the Supreme webstore first then hit Nike SNKRS a week or two later.

Where To Buy The Nike SB Dunk High “Strawberry Cough”

One of the most long-awaited Nike SB Dunks drops is finally ready to be unleashed to the public as we approach the official release date of the Nike SB Dunk High “Strawberry Cough“. Created at a 10th Anniversary tribute to Todd Bratrud’s unforgettable “Skunk Dunks” design of 2011, the “Strawberry Cough”, inspired by its own distinct strain of marijuana, boasts some special extras like leaf-inspired, velvet ear flaps, a secret stash pocket in the tongue, and custom-designed Strawberry sock-liner and embroidered heel. These originally surfaced in 2020, and with a release rumored to be completely scrapped, samples and early leaked pairs commanded extremely high numbers in the aftermarket. This week’s retail drop will surely cool down those prices to a more affordable figure.

The Nike SB Dunk High “Strawberry Cough” is officially confirmed for a release exclusively at skateshops on October 22nd, and on SNKRS US on October 26th. All releases at skateshops will likely be through a draw/raffle, where SNKRS will employ the Draw for its release.Nike SB Dunk High “Strawberry Cough”

Detailed Look of the Nike SB Dunk High “Maize/Black”

The Nike (NYSE:NKE -1.20%) SB division is not one to hold back when it comes to using its wild imagination to produced striking footwear products. After getting inspired by Mediterranean kebabs for its collaboration with Color Skates and 1971 Porsche 911s for its partnership with Ishod Wair and Magnus Walker, the skate sub-label is now turning to the OG Nike Dunk High “Goldenrod” and flipping its color schemes for a modernized take.

Much like the highly acclaimed “Be True to Your School” Dunk collection from 1985, this forthcoming iteration boasts a two-toned presentation. In “Reverse Goldenrod” fashion, the “Maize” tone makes vivid appearances on the quarters, toe boxes and collars while a solid black surfaces on the Swooshes, overlays, laces and interior lining. An extra pop of black also gets distributed to the Nike SB branding on the tongues. Another element to call out is that unlike its muse which is engineered with leather uppers, this variation opts to go with buttery suede paneling. To bring everything together, the midsoles are flooded in full white and come glued above black treading.

Official Images Of The Unicorn Gundam x Nike SB Dunk High In White

Few franchises have captured as many hearts as Gundam. Known throughout the world, the property — either through kits, anime, or books — has had a lasting impact on culture as a whole, influencing many a subsequent film, video game, and series. And soon, as part of their recent celebration of Japan as a whole, Nike SB is will join the list, offering up a very special RX-O Unicorn inspired Dunk High.

One part of a two-piece set, this “White/Amarillo” colorway mirrors the aforementioned with evident respect. The white leather base and bright red decals are designed like the mech itself, inching ever-closer with its custom toe box, collar, and heel counter. What’s more, if the homage wasn’t clear as is, the “RX-0” stamp marks the heel adjacent to the much larger Unicorn insignia. Additional stickers are included in the box for further tweaking and the V-Fin reminiscent Swoosh is entirely detachable.
